The room was in great repair and the staff was very pleasant and helpful from check in to check out.

Liked: The hotel had a shuttle running to the event, much appreciated. Staff was polite and helpful all through my stay.
Disliked: My experience was very positive; the staff got me a coffee while I was checking out. Above and beyond.

This was our second stay at the hotel, for concerts at the National. It's a 3 minute or less walk, which is great. The valet and doormen who greeted us upon arrival were super friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was great. Our room, on the 14th floor was very nice, with comfortable beds, upscale linens, and a really excellent air conditioner, which means a lot to me. We walked to a great little English pub (Penny Lane) for a quick dinner before the concert, a five minute walk, good food, great atmosphere. The next morning, we had the breakfast buffet, which was included in the room that I selected, and it featured a chef making omelettes to order, smoked salmon and deli meats and cheeses, fruit, and cereal, and a hot bar with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and cheese crepes. Then we were on our way, and looking forward to our next concert trip! I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be satisfied with the Richmond Marriott, super nice hotel in every way!

I felt right at ease as soon as I entered the hotel. Everyone who works there was always waiting to answer questions and direct me to wherever I wanted to go. I was surprised. I was dressed in my "Seether" concert gear and they treated me like any other guest! Will go back to this Marriott hotel next time there is a show at The National

My experience was a great one. I booked because of how close The Marriott is to The National since I was attending a concert. Location was great, staff was very nice and the accommodations were great. I will book again next time I am in town!

Liked: We had a lovely stay for an athletic tournament at the convention center. the staff and valet were pleasant and helpful. definitely well trained in the principles of hospitality. the room was clean and comfortable. Loved the fitness center but didn't see any water available post-workout.
Disliked: Knowing the hotel was booked for the tournament, i would have expected them to staff up, set up extra tables for check in. When i arrived at 8pm on Thursday night after an 8 hour drive, we waited another HOUR on line in the lobby just to check in to our room. The next morning, we ordered down for starbucks and waited an HOUR for it to be ready. Knowing you are fully booked allows you to plan for extra demand so i'm not sure why this wasn't managed more effectively.

Disliked: I didn't like that there was no breakfast after 9am, The toilets in the room flush loud to the point that you could hear the person next doors toilet as well

A good night's sleep was...

Liked: Friendly staff, with good problem solving skills. Delicious food and good quality wine from the catering side. Warm and comfortable beds with high quality linens. Good water pressure in the shower.
Disliked: The shuttle within two miles of the hotel is good, but would appreciate if it operated a little later into the night, say 9:00 pm, to allow transportation back to the hotel from dinner.
