Liked: The room was clean and well laid out. It had all the amenities expected and more.

Comfortable, welcoming and great location

Liked: The hotel is in the city center, near City Hall, and within walking distance of restaurants and historic buildings. Everything about the hotel was inviting and comfortable. Our room was spacious with a nice sitting area and a full kitchen. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Real scrambled eggs, not powdered, and the hash brown patties were crispy without being greasy. The hotel is well insulated so we didn't hear any street noises on the 7th floor. The staff was gracious and welcoming. We have stayed at several hotels in Oakland, and this one will be our "go to" hotel for future trips.
Disliked: It would be perfect if there was a parking garage. It's valet parking only, and with tax that was $60 per night.
