Liked: convenient location; being within a short walk of supermarkets and restaurants makes daily errands or dining out remarkably easy, especially for those without a vehicle. A handful of staff members also demonstrated polite and helpful attitudes, adding moments of relief to an otherwise challenging stay.
Disliked: I specifically booked a suite expecting privacy, yet I could hear every word from the next-door guests as if they were in my room. This problem was made worse by a dog barking incessantly next door, thanks to the hotel’s lack of any pet restrictions—no regulations regarding breed, weight, or even crates. Forced to sleep on the living room couch multiple nights, I found the misrepresentation of “soundproof” rooms and the relentless canine commotion deeply upsetting.Exacerbating matters, I was unable to cancel my stay midway since I had booked through Booking.com, whereas the hotel claimed I could have canceled if I’d booked directly. Half the property was closed for construction, intensifying noise from the remaining street-facing rooms, and a constant humming sound—likely from rooftop equipment—reverberated throughout. Doors slam by default, shaking beds and disturbing sleep. Service was equally disappointing: Lupe never wore a name tag or showed empathy when I requested a quieter room, a night staffer seemed more engrossed in her TV show than assisting me, and another staff member inexplicably knocked on my door at 11 p.m. despite my privacy sign. Unruly guests were allowed to party without meaningful intervention, further eroding any sense of peace.Facilities and nighttime operations were also lacking, with no concierge, housekeeping, or kitchen services after hours, substandard room conditions (missing vents, dented refrigerator, windows that won’t close fully, burnt-out bulbs), and easily demagnetized keycards. In essence, it behaves more like a basic inn than the three-star hotel it purports to be. Given the relentless noise, misleading marketing, and overall poor service, I would strongly advise seeking alternative accommodations whenever possible.
