Renaissance LAX, great price for...

Liked: Service was exceptional at every interval and the room was clean as was the facility in general. Buffet was a little limited but very good. Arrived very late to breakfast on the last day of my stay and the food was cold; I mentioned this to the server and they brought me some fresh food…awesome response. Free shuttle service to/from airport was an asset.I toured the conference center and ball room for future clients and they were nice. Exterior was very clean and drive up was appealing even with the rode construction on one side. There were rental car places at the hotel and across the street from the hotel….good to have completion for competitive pricing.
Disliked: Booking.com customer service was horrible; I had major problems with the hotel finding my reservation and Booking.com kept telling me to use the reference number they provided. Three calls later a night manger at the hotel found my reservation in another system after talking to Booking.com. Booking.com took no ownership in the issue. This is the second reservation I made this summer with Booking.com; both times the confirmation number they provided could not be found by the hotel staff without my calling back and their doing extra work. Booking.com needs to retrain staff to be service oriented and add the official confirmation number to their bookings, poor service. Booking.com rep hung up when I asked to speak with a manager. Although comfortable and clean, the room was dated. I missed having a microwave in the room but they had them conveniently located next to the elevator on certain floors. It’s hard to complain about the room because overall I had a great stay and the value for service is priceless and their service was exceptional.There was construction on one side of the hotel and no place to eat/shop in walking distance, this is somewhat typical for airport hotels.
