Once built as a private mansion in 1869 and later in the hands of bankers this magnificent 19th-century classical building has been renovated and converted into the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Heritage. The hotel is just 165 ft from the market square and has free Wi-Fi. The Heritage Hotel offers its guests elegant stylish rooms all characterized by individual decoration and nice soft furnishings with well furnished bathrooms. An iPad is available in each room. The house has a 14th-century old cellar with special arches of which stones are now displayed at the museum of the archaeological society. Guests can enjoy regional dishes in the hotel's restaurant. Cozy restaurants interesting museums elegant shops and romantic carriages that take you through the city are only at walking distance. Boat rides on Brugge's famous canals show you the hidden corners of the city. The Relais & Châteaux Hotel Heritage has a pleasant and welcoming lounge with bar. A splendid buffet breakfast is served in the charming 1869 room which reflects the glorious past of the house.

Excetional Weeekned getaway

Liked: The Breakfast was exceptional and the Poached Eggs (House speciality) were gorgeous. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and were brilliant throughout our stay.

Great hotel, right off the...

Liked: Nice hotel in the middle of Bruges. They have a Michelin starred restaurant, which I didn't eat at. I'm not a foodie, so never tried it. The staff is extremel accomadating. Sadly, I had no cash to tip with, which I did regret. The rooms have high ceilings, lots of decor. We would stay again.
Disliked: There was no possible reason to complain about anything.

The staff on reception were...

Liked: The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The hotel to be frank needs some updating as the bathrooms and rooms are a bit tired. Also the beds are uncomfortable and could do with changing altogether. The air conditioning is very weak and though the staff were good enough to place a fan in the room it’s not something you expect from a hotel with a high star rating. The location while central and convenient also has one drawback - groups of drunks screaming all night at the weekend. On the Friday we headed back drunks were screaming and yelling outside all night, even when we were getting in the taxi to go to the airport at five AM. I know it’s something the hotel can do little about but it might be a good idea to install sound proof windows if they were able to in a future upgrade.
