Liked: The welcoming of the staff the cleanings of the room pet and pet friendly
Disliked: No breakfast

Exceptional

Liked: Friendly staff and comfortable, clean rooms. The hotel is dog friendly which is great for us! There are many places to dine within walking distance. Close to the seawall and a great place to walk! There is a shower by the pool which is great for rinsing off the sand from the beach.

Location location location!

Liked: Seawall is a few minutes' walk away, and great local eateries were within a half mile drive. The staff was super nice and knowledgeable about the island. Area is really quiet. The shower was hot and the A/C was cold. You can feel the gulf breeze and even feel it's spray at times. Being able to bring our dog, the room opening to the parking lot made it easier on her as opposed to walking through a hotel and using elevators. They have an elevator, but we stayed on the 1st floor. Did I mention, the beach was right around the corner!

Clean and the price was...

Liked: We have stayed at the regular Red Roof before and was not clean but this one was very clean as well as had a large bathroom and nice tv. I would recommend this as a great place to stay in Galveston for the price.

I probably wouldn’t stay here...

Liked: The fact that you allowed dogs
Disliked: No ice on the third floor and there was a huge hole in the ground covered by grass at the corner of the bldg that I stepped in and fell. I almost broke my ankle. It was dark outside and there wasn’t anything that warned you to be aware of. I told the staff about the hole in the ground and that they should put a cone or tape up. He stated that they were working on the sprinkler system and forgot to cover the hole back up. Also the off button didn’t work on the blow dryer and had to pull the cord out of the plug to turn it off.
