Rat traps & Roaches

Liked: Choose this location as we needed to stop for the night on a long drive. Booking app gave a "good" rating of 7.2. Did not need much but the rating looked good.. After check in, we were advised that there were no ground floor rooms, but the parking lot was sparsely populated with cars. We were directed to the back of the dimly lit property towards our 2nd floor room. While driving through the parking lot we noticed that the majority of the rooms were empty. After parking the multiple rat traps along the walkways were noted. While climbing the old stairs there were some loose treads. We debated at this time whether to leave the property but decided to stay. Upon arriving in the room, it looked relatively clean. We checked the sheets and linens and the appeared ok as well. However my wife did have to exterminate 2 large palmetto bugs, 1 on the main door and 1 in the bathroom. We decided to stay but this property will not get a decent rating. It requires a full restoration and cleaning. The rating on the BOOKING app was very misleading.

I had an overall pleasant...

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the atmosphere was good. Staff was pleasant and courteous.
Disliked: I did hear an animal (dog) barking for a couple hours or so, nothing serious.

Exceptional

Liked: It was perfect for my layover time, close comfertable and affordable
Disliked: Nothing, even though there was only one elevator, it did not affect us.

I would not stay there...

Liked: It was close to Eaters and Gas Station and was very quiet
Disliked: There was no Internet Cafe or Computers, no Soda Machines, the bed mattress were not clean

Disliked: Older hotel. Needed few repairs

Stay again

Liked: It was clean, comfortable and a good price for just a overnight stop. Clean bathroom and shower
Disliked: Has to put a towel at the bottom of the door to keep the draft out.But it's an older location so No big deal
