Comfortable bed and good size...

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the room was a lovely size
Disliked: Guests were talking loudly in the room next door at 4.30 am and had this tv in. I had to find the night porter to ask them to be quiet. The room also suffered from being near machinery, maybe central heating which made it noisy

Good value dog friendly hotel...

Liked: Nice dog friendly hotel, large rooms and friendly staff. Loved no extra charge for the dog. Some hotels charge up to £40 extra. The hotel had Christmas party nights on but the room was away from the noise and everything was over by midnight.
Disliked: £15 charge for breakfast, not particularly expensive by hotel standards but there was a lovely tiny cafe across the road so we ate there.

Disliked: where do I start?There was no warning Xmas parties were going to be on.People clearly drunk doing balloons throughout the premises.I couldn't believe there was no security on considering the amount of drunken revelry.I think they should have their night time licence reviewed.I wasn't surprised to be woken by police sirens at 2am who attended to deal with fighting.DO NOT STAY HERE DURING THE XMAS PERIOD, unless of course you want to stay somewhere you can freely take drugs and stay up throughout the night causing annoyance to normal guests

Disappointing.

Disliked: Heating not working in room, although I was supplied with an electric convector heater after this was pointed out. Window broken and open when I arrived combined with the heating issue meant the room was freezing cold. Window was eventually forced shut and duct tape applied to prevent it opening again. Lighting was very poor in the room. The hotel is desperately in need of modernisation and investment. Staff although extremely pleasant we’re clearly suffering from a lack of training and guidance.
