Exceptional

Liked: Everything was perfect, from the moment of our welcome, the manner of the staff (present, but not too present), the unexpected room upgrade, to the most romantic moment of my life in front of the epic fireplace that we had to ourselves for our one night stay. Oh and breakfast was awesome too. The room surpasses description - I could wax lyrical about the free standing bath and four poster bed, but it was truly made by the early advent sun pouring in from the east through all the windows in the morning. For a spontaneous stop-off en route home after visiting friends, it was altogether unforgettable.

Gorgeous place to stay

Liked: Gorgeous room, such a beautiful manor and staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming and helpful. Bed was comfortable, lovely facilities and it was very quiet.
Disliked: There were a few cobwebs in the room and bathroom, completely appreciate it being an old house and high ceilings it can be harder to stay on top of this, however given the high standards everyone else I thought this was one thing I’d like to see different.
