Paul D, Sandnes, Norway, visiting University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory Tue, 3 March 2015

The first impression continues inside the Rectory. Gentile. One feels you are entering a dear friend's home, with staff. The Harrods tableware matches perfectly with the dining rooms. Looking onto a rustic garden with a plethora of song birds and the screech of the resident Buzzard. Black sheep and horses in the paddock. Wonderful friendly staff, happy to help you as best they can. Roger is a wonderful, caring host. Rectory Farm is to be recomended.

Liked: The location on 25 acres of rural landscape is excellent. Electric gates sets the tone. The main house where we stayed with log fires burning really makes you feel at home. Roger the owner is a gentile man that truly does care that your stay is perfect.
Disliked: The breakfasts, although an excellent Continental with fresh fruits and yoghurts and full on Standard English, the time of one hour was a minimum.

Liked: The grounds
Disliked: We requested a suite which was not honoured, couldn’t sleep in the same bed as partner as children where too small to be sleeping in a room by themselves, there where scared, no reply to concerns raised on our arrival, family’ members where charged over the deposit amount by £100 for hour so called suite when arrived called the manager who was rude and unhelpful, There was no fridge in our room, considering there is no bar we feel it was needed, Went to purchase a cappuccino from the machine it wouldn’t take card, No signal poor WiFi Nothing for children to do,

Comfortable stay in a very...

Liked: The location is good for visiting Cambridge, but there is a very big disparity between the superior rooms and the normal rooms.
Disliked: The room cleaning was a bit hit and miss. Some days the rooms were cleaned, others they were not. The lodging we reserved was listed as a suite, but it was simply two separate rooms joined by a corridor.
