Somewhat overpriced for an outdated hotel struggling with a major mosquito plague.

Liked: Location is OK, nice view of the lake although not that easy to reach. Property is quiet, we had a good night rest. Prices at the bar are very reasonable.
Disliked: They have a mosquito PLAGUE at the hotel. Litterally hundreds of thousands of mosquitos swarming all open areas, especially at night. The hotel looks very outdated. If you're a frequent traveller you will surely be dissapointed by the facilities. We paid 150USD per night, and all it included is the use of the beds. The pool area looks very cheap with their plastic beds and chairs, and the pool water was very cold, even for the kids. Stayed here just to take a one-night rest while travelling elsewhere, so wasnt expecting much. But wouldn't stay there more than 1 night.

Exceptional

Liked: View was nice. Breakfast brunch buffet was nice. It was a bit chilly and there were no tables in the sun.
Disliked: The pool was ice cold, and the Jacuzzi was filled with litte kids. Screaming Drunk guest in the dining room. I had to go eat in the patio where it was very cold

The food selection and quality was incredibly underwhelming.

The location is excellent. But it needs better room maintenance and food quality.

Liked: The location is excellent. Gardens are beautiful and well mantained. Pool is also very good. Room is spacious and clean. Many facilities available; restaurant, bar, hot pool, cold pool, jacuzzi.
Disliked: The room needs some maintenance. Shower didn't have enough flow of water and the mosquito netting was old and loose. Breakfast buffet was good and with many options. However the quality of food was not good in all of the options. Coffee was not good, Dinner also was not of good quality.

the staff was rude and so cut with my family and I dont understand why. worst experience Ive had in a long time.

Liked: Very helpful staff & great location right on Lake Chappala. Large bedroom and overall the hotel was laid out in a spacious manner.
Disliked: There wasn't any coffee making facilities in the room and the response was you can order from the bar which wasn't convenient and at 50 pesos plus tip per cup would have been expensive over the 15 days we were there. So we bought a kettle from Walmart which paid for itself in 3 days! There we no English TV channels, the internet was slow at 5MB/s which didn't allow streaming as an alternate to the TV. Unfortunately on the two occasions that we tried the restaurant. the food was cold, mostly due to the use of cold plates for hot food.
