Liked: Superb location, overlooking Bassenthwaite lake and surrounding countryside. Excellent food and friendly staff. Nearby walks to Skiddaw.
Disliked: Parking could be an issue during busy times.

An experience - not to...

Liked: We liked the friendly Staff and the general setting and ambience of the hotel.Parking was easy.
Disliked: Our bathroom was “Cold” throughout our stay and very cramped to say the least ! Room 6). The light in the room at night was terrible and the Food prices in the Restaurant ridiculously expensive !

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff

Liked: The hotel itself is beautiful and perfectly situated for long or short walks. The rooms are lovely, though the room we had did feel a little small, but it was a double and the bed was AMAZING! Best nights sleep in a long time. The staff are what makes this place in my opinion. We were leaving early for a spa nearby and although breakfast didn't start til 8 the lovely girl at the desk arranged for the morning staff to start early and accommodate us for an early breakfast. The lady and gent at breakfast made us feel so comfortable even though I felt awful for starting their day early
Disliked: Room was quite small but fine for 1 night.

A lovely stay

Liked: Beautiful manor. Extremely cosy and in a really good, quiet location if wanting somewhere in the north lakes. Amazing breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Out of all of the hotels we considered we were pleased that we chose Ravenstone.
Disliked: Parking was a little difficult.

Beautiful break , amazing food,...

Liked: We’ve stayed about four times previously , such a nice place. And now recently taken over. There was a major power cut which affected all of west Cumbria , the team did a superb job coping and helping everyone check out/ get breakfast etc
Disliked: I think the rooms could do with a minor facelift
