Ramside Hall Hotel Golf & Spa is set within a 350-acre estate featuring 2 Championship golf courses with a combined 36 holes amid mature woodlands and lakes. The spacious bedrooms many with scenic views feature elegant décor and modern bathrooms work desks satellite TVs with Sky and BT Sports and luxurious Elemis toiletries. There are many upgrades available including use of a chauffeur-driven Bentley Mulsanne. The hotel features 4 restaurants including the award-winning Rib Room Steakhouse & Grill and Fusion with a pan-Asian menu. Pemberton's Carvery offers traditional British cuisine throughout the day and informal dining is also available in the Clubhouse. Complimentary spa access includes access to the indoor 25-yard swimming pool bubble pool steam room and sauna. Access to the hydro-pool and outdoor pool is reserved for guests on spa packages and members. During busy times guests will be limited to a 1-hour time slot and guests may be allocated access on check-in. A tempting menu of Elemis treatments is available within the Spa subject to availability. Booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. Just 450 yards from Junction 62 on the A1M the hotel is just a 5-minute drive from the historic city of Durham and 25 minutes from Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Newcastle Airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Great staff, tired hotel.

Liked: Staff were so helpful and kind.
Disliked: Very dated rooms and hotel and expensive for the standard of the hotel.

Not worth the money with...

Liked: Great setting and location was good
Disliked: The room wasn’t cleaned properly a lot of areas had dust on.There was half open water bottles under the bed side tables off the night before.Toilet seat was loose and dirty

Liked: Everything the staff were very professional and friendly, the facilities were fab the room was spacious and comfy, the spa facilities were fab booked a massage and it was the best I've ever had. Food for breakfast was great and the hotel was second to none.
Disliked: Nothing.

Second stay in 2 months....

Liked: Great location. Plenty of car parking. Room a generous size. Lovely park like surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff. 3 nice restaurants to choose from but booking is recommended.
Disliked: Over bath shower. Bath was quite high to step into comfortably.

Liked: Loved the interior very clean, very easy to get around.
Disliked: The food on site whether breakfast dinner or tea absolutely diabolical. Had to be the worst food we’ve had anywhere to date.Charley on the bar was wonderful and the reception girls, restaurant staff have absolutely no personality nor cared when mentioned our horrendous food too busy on their phones behind the counter. Lovely facilities probably wouldn’t stay again just as we would have to leave site to eat.
