Lovely friendly hotel

Liked: Dinner was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar, which was a nice area to dine in.
Disliked: nothing to complain about, staff friendly and helpful, would definitely stay again

A comfortable hotel and friendly...

Liked: The room was light and airy with a big window with an attractive view from the back of the hotel. It was nicely furnished with a wooden dressing table and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was generally good with a good choice of continental items and cooked Scottish breakfast.
Disliked: One of our party had poached eggs which tasted of vinegar which he didn’t like. There was no marmalade though there was a choice of jams or honey.

Bit of attention to detail...

Liked: Room - Bed was comfortable and slept well. Bathroom facilities also good with decent shower ! Good choice at Breakfast. Top up facilities for tea tray were freely available at Reception.
Disliked: Nobody on Reception on arrival. One person doing bar & reception duties at the time. No automatic room refreshing, had to request via tag although was informed of this beforehand. Looked forward to the fish / chips meal but so disappointed. looked like it had come out of a box . Uniform oblong shaped piece of fish & frozen chips / peas. Had to request Tartare Sauce. Having said this other bar meals were acceptable ! Could not turn down room radiator so room was very hot. Had to open window. Reported this on departure.
