great place, friendly, helpful and...

Liked: Excellent place, loved the evening meals and wine, sadly the dogs not allowed in the bar, however the lounge was ok. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but filled us up and did the job, will stay again in future if up that way.
Disliked: Breakfast was ok, but could've been better - maybe a better black pudding for example.

Good location. Comfortable, clean room....

Liked: Interesting historical building which our host was happy to explain.Room was large, well appointed, warm and comfortableStaff were friendly and helpfulQuiet location, large garden area and large public park nearby
Disliked: We had a dog with us and although dogs were not allowed in the dining area, instead of putting us alone in a separate room, we could perhaps have eaten in the bar area.
