Great property, appalling manager

Disliked: After hours access & service non-existent. Access card malfunctioned & could not access lift/room or entrance door at 12.30am. Told we had to wait 35-45 mins outside for a manager would be on site to rectify. Manager was very grumpy & abrupt and also muttered unwelcome projections & asides under his breath in a very unprofessional manner. Disgusting behaviour on his part. As it turned out, another unrelated party were at reception next day to complain about an identical issue with a similar smart attitude from the manager. This a 3star property at best, certainly not 4stars.

Comfortable room but bad service...

Liked: Spacious room, great location
Disliked: No staff and locked hotel in the late evening. We wanted to check in at 9pm (on our booking it said we can check in up til midnight) and had to speak through a timed intercom to an external company to check in. This took a long time as there is a waiting time to get through and once you do the intercom times out quite quickly so you have to try all over again. The keycard was in a lockbox but we had not been notified prior to check in that this would be the case - they could have easily told us by email that past a certain hour check in would work like this.Also, we found out the next day that our key cards deactivated at 12 pm unless we went to reception to activate them as we hadn’t checked in “properly”. Again, we were not told this. If we had got back in the evening when there would have been no staff we wouldn’t have been able to get back into the hotel or our room.

Liked: The washing machine and dryer in the room was great and hot chocolate was an extra little treat
Disliked: Minimal interaction from staff at reception, but they did let us sleep in a room until our new one was booked so super wonderful could have just chatted to us more about the area
