Had everything I required - toiletries, towels and refreshments; very clean; worth more stars than given and reception very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel for visiting Morningside Arena. The room was clean but basic and excellent value for the money. The only issue was the noise from outside, which city centre on a Saturday night, should be expected and nothing the hotel can do about it. The Reception did move us to a quieter room without a problem but was still noisy.

Liked: The price for a city centre hotel on a Saturday night was excellent.
Disliked: Nothing that the hotel had control over.

Easy check in and check out. Lovely contemporary rooms, quiet rooms too - no noise from neighbouring rooms. Stylish bar/breakfast area downstairs; friendly staff.

Liked: My room was very clean, loads of towels, and all toiletries were all filled up. The kettle was spotless, and everything else in the hotel/room was good.
Disliked: Room was facing the main street, and not very well sound proofed so the traffic noise both kept me awake and when I did get to sleep woke me up super early. The thermostatic was not working and the room was also cold.

Liked: Big room and nice staff in a great location. The room was too expensive for what you get, though. The sofa is stained, the bathroom has some brownish stains as well. The furniture and decoration is outdated.

Liked: Good location.
Disliked: Room needs a lick of paint, corridors weren't cleared of rubbish particularly promptly. Staff a little unenthusiastic, not very helpful pre check in.

Poor hotel

Liked: The hotel looked lovely from the outside and the inside was nice. But when ordering a drink from the bar to have with our meals there was literally nothing, not even children's drinks! There was no draft alcohol, just some bottles of beer. Not a great start! The room looked okay until we saw all the marks over the walls and a hole in the wall. The windows had greasy marks all over them and then when going to the toilet in the night there was a silver fish not sure if they are actually called that but it was on the wooden flooring where there is obviously damp in the room disgusting! Then breakfast was no better, the plates were filthy, the yogurts were warm even though they were in the fridge. Generally disappointed and will not stay again!

Disliked: Noisy during the night outside and alarms going off from car/building near by. Not hotels faults.Tv didn’t initially work but managed to fix it myself.
