Liked: Staff were very helpful. No compendium in the room, You had to down load it if you wanted to see it.Room very clean and spacious.
Disliked: Not having fresh towels provided each day. You had to go to reception and ask if you wanted them.

Cheap place for a hotel...

Liked: The only positive to this hotel was it was functional. Everything worked as it was supposed to. That's why I gave this place at least a 5 rating. I could not expect much from this hotel, though, because the price was affordable. You get what you pay for. Washer and dryer in the room was convenient.
Disliked: By far, this was the worst hotel room we stayed in throughout our entire trip to New Zealand and I felt the rating here is misleading. The room was dirty when we arrived and not cleaned to our standards for check-in. Crumbs all over the floor, on the dining table, in the refrigerator (old items in here not cleared), old stains everywhere. Carpet was not vacuumed thoroughly. Important informational tent card jammed under the night table (housekeeping didn't even check that these things were even organized correctly). We were offered an alternate room but this one was only slightly less dirty. Reception promised to have housekeeping perform a thorough cleaning the next day (housekeeping is only scheduled every 2 days), which was never done, so the guy at the reception was just full of it. He used the excuse that housekeeping had 45 rooms to clean that day, so listen up, Wyndham/Ramada: hire more people to run your business and stop skimping on expenses and offer presentable rooms! Location not ideal; on a deserted stretch of a street and distant walk from and to the Airport Express bus stop and still have to walk a couple of blocks to Cuba St or Courtenay Place, so I don't know why everyone else here raves about the supposed "awesome" location. The dryer shoots out so much lint on all the surfaces of the bathroom when it was operative. Alarm clock was just a brick with no plug in sight. No luggage rack, not enough hangers, no drawers, and thicker bedding was stuffed above the closet, so no place to air out clothes. We had to store clothes on top of our luggage. Why put a mirror right next to the heavy dining table that it can't be accessed as a vanity mirror without moving the said heavy table?
