Great value, hidden gem

Liked: The hotel is older but it's a tucked away hidden gem. We wanted a nice evening with our daughter at a hotel with a pool and the hotel had to be pet friendly. This hotel was perfect for us. It's a little dated but it's lay out was perfect, the staff was awesome and the pool was fantastic. It is a very warm pool which was surprising (think almost the same temp as the hot tub). The 9ft deep end was awesome, it was nice to have a deeper end instead a full shallow or 5 ft pool. The front desk person we had check us in, i think his name was Tyler. He was fantastic and recommended a restaurant down the street called Speedway which we went to for dinner. It was awesome! The lounge was great and so was the bartender. We had a great time getting to know some other folks that were there for the night.
Disliked: The pool was a little too warm, don't get me wrong we loved the pool and will be back but it was almost the same temp as the hot tub and you turned into a prune within about 10 mins. If it was 10 degrees colder in the pool it would have been perfect!Breakfast was just so so, addition of fresh fruit or something would have been nice. But it was adequate for what we needed. The gentleman working the breakfast station was very attentive to it and was always topping things up.
