It was ok , The...

Liked: Location good,no breakfast available,showers were good
Disliked: The window didn’t open when we did had to get a something to close it,the kitchen wasn’t very good nowhere to sit and relax,T V too high hurt my neck trying to watch it

Liked: Easy getting in and out
Disliked: The shelf right by the door, with the TV on it was really easy to bump my head on every time I came in the door.

Liked: Surprisingly comfortable.
Disliked: Staff insisted on seeing my passport and taking a photo of it (I am an NZ citizen). I am now constantly checking my bank account etc worried that I may be subject to a scam.

Passable

Liked: Booking dot com double booked the last available room . The host was very apologetic but beyond he control. As area was sold out had to drive to Reefton.

Some good, some bad....!

Liked: Location was ideal for getting off the train and to your hotel in 5 mins. Staff were friendly. The ladies shower was excellent - lots of hot water and good pressure. I do think they are doing the best they can with limited investment and an old building.
Disliked: The overpowering smell of an air freshener that was in the room. The location of the TV just inside the door and wall mounted. I caught my head on it, entering the room.
