Shocking, dirty and disgusting!

Disliked: After queuing for twenty minutes for my turn at the check in desk I finally got my room key.The room looked as if it hadn’t been updated for a long time and hadn’t been properly cleaned.The mattress was too small for the base of the bed and the base that was showing was covered in stains. The carpet was stained, the plug sockets were full of dust. A lot of the fixed fittings were damaged and crumbling. In the bathroom everything was stained and coated with limescale. The sink drain hole was black and filthy, the toilet was stained and dirty, the taps and shower screen were disgusting, thick limescale. The shower head had no middle, if it was supposed to be a loop style it didn’t work as the water just spurted out sideways as it was probably also blocked up. I had to get up at 4.30am to get a flight so was not happy not to be able to shower. I did notice that when I eventually got to check in she commented that I had booked via Booking.com, I wonder if they give us the roughest rooms! All in all, despite the plush foyer the room was like I would expect in a very old Travelodge or roadside motel!!

Liked: Walking distance to terminal, polite and helpful staff. Excellent evening meal menu, and meal that was first class.
Disliked: Early flight meant I couldn’t get breakfast!
