Good for a short stay...

Liked: This is a nice hotel. The bed was very comfortable, room was clean, location was central. Would recommend for a short stay.
Disliked: We paid quite a bit for our room and so you'd expect the hotel to fit the expectations of that price-class. Yet some things were lacking: No slippers, bathrobes, spa facility, gym, hairdryer, fridge. For the money we paid you'd expect a bit more. The breakfast was good but mostly English breakfast, would have preferred more healthy options.

Disliked: I booked and paid for 2 night stay only to come back the second night with our room been given away because we took our bags with us out of the room. We were allocated a second different room. This was very frustrating. I found this very sly as there was no preceding phonecall to us to enquire if we had checked out. We had not. I suspect this was all to assist with "double" booking of rooms. No upgrade, breakfast or simply an apology was given. Unacceptable.

Great venue, staff and food!...

Liked: Location was excellent, the staff were great and the food at the hotel was superb
Disliked: I wouldn’t say it was a case of didn’t like, but it’s clear the hotel is still being renovated in parts. What appears to be an old gym or something was visible and just looked a bit messy compared to the hotel itself. But didn’t impact the stay

Liked: Voco was such a lovely hotel to stay in .Both my husband and myself were pleasantly surprised at the lovely interior and fantastic staff ! We had recently got married and staff had a bottle of bubbly for us on arrival in our room ! Such a wonderful gesture .The staff were very efficient and couldn't do enough. Perfect location and a perfect stay ! Will definitely be returning in the future!
