Very disappointing … we stayed...

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Breakfast service was very poor … buffet very overpriced . 25 min wait for poached eggs … in a quiet restaurant .In the evening the bar closes at 10.40… and we were asked to leave and take our drinks into a lobby area to finish them . No residents bar after 10.40 on a Saturday night . !!!Next morning we ordered two cups of tea and we waited 25 mins… they never came so we left for our taxi .All very poor for such a prestigious hotel in the middle of London .

Great central location with great...

Liked: Location to the theatre was great. Size of room was also good, and sound-proofing was excellent especially as room faced the square.
Disliked: While the reception and bar areas were very contemporary, the room decor was pretty dated. The shower experience was poor due to the water pressure being nearly nonexistent if you wanted warm water, This was pointed out to the staff at checkout.

Disappointing

Liked: the staff and the antique furniture the sun light inter the room perfectly
Disliked: I visited London for training incident happened in the second day Fire alarm went on, 2 am at the morning I was sleeping and I woke up panicked and very scared I ran down from the 5th floor to the reception through the stairs due to the emergency situation we found out it was false alarm as per the receptionist it was fault in the system we went back to to our room and alarm didn’t stop till 5 am it was awful I didn’t sleep it was very hard day in training I was tired and sleepy all the dayThey promised for compensation and we agreed to return the cost of that night but nothing happened until now

Liked: The location was perfect!
Disliked: The building is outdated, needs renovation. The condition of the room wasn’t great, cracks on walls and weird smell. Price is higher than should be

Comfortable and welcoming but needs...

Liked: Great location , nice breakfast, comfy beds and very friendly and helpful staff
Disliked: The decor in the rooms is tired and dull; could do with brightening up a bit. There was a draft coming from the window and for a 5 * hotel we would have expected a walk in shower. Also very stingey on the tea bags - just 2 x English breakfast tea between 2 people
