Liked: The staff were lovely. We were met by a lovely lady who really engaged with the kids and showed off all the amenities in a great way that enthused the kids about staying. The common area is really nice and inviting. When the lights are low, the little lamps make it feel very comfy which is great for late night games and reading. The kitchen is very clean and well set out. Lots of space for multiple families to cook simultaneously. Free tea, coffee and milk was really nice and the cereal choices at breakfast was brilliant.
Disliked: There's not a lot not to like. It's got nice views over the marina, and it's warm and friendly. I guess the only thing I'd change might be to lower the prices a smidge. The room is perfect for a small family, but it's Spartan (as you'd expect!). I'd say it would be great value at about £110. At £130 it is approaching the cost of full hotels with 24hr staff and more amenities at this time of year. But it's not really a gripe, just me looking for a good deal. It's a lovely place to lay your head while you're exploring the northeast.

Liked: Fabulous facilities, great place to walk dogs and close to local shops and restaurants. The kitchen is amazing and really friendly hosts and fellow travelers. Amble is an amazing place to visit.
Disliked: Nothing
