Home Away From Home...

Liked: Quinta Don Jose is a lovely, comfortable and friendly hotel located close to the main areas of Tlaquepaque.Recently, I stayed three nights and found my Quinta Don Jose stay a wonderful place to be.My room was quiet, comfortable and nicely appointed with everything I needed. The refrigerator and water machine were especially nice. Of note, my room was across the street from the main building (I had to "buzz" in/out of the property which was fine.)Each morning, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and maybe a drink or two at the bar (Charlie was so welcoming and friendly!)One night, I ate at the restaurant and had an excellent meal served by my new friend Carlos (he was so nice and attentive!)While the pool water was a bit chilly, I used it 2/3 days and enjoyed the beautiful courtyard - it was a great way to relax from the hustle and bustle beyond the hotel property.Love Quinta Don Jose, would definitely return!5 stars

Liked: Loved our stay. The staff is fantastic. The restaurant was superb. Ribeye was fantastic. Facilities were beautiful. Short walk to the Zocolo

Good hotel but felt unsafe

Liked: Staff was friendly, room was ok and spacious with great bathroom, location was near to center, breakfast provided was good.
Disliked: Room was located in another house not the hotel itself (!). I felt unsecure in the area as there are no security from hotel so when going from room ( in another house) to main hotel had to.wait for.someone to.open the door in a street that doesnt have good lighting and is solitary.

Liked: Door knob needed to be replaced. And shower drain was clogged. BUT staff got to work on it immediately upon request. Both issues were taken care of. Truly grateful for a wonderful stay. I will definitely reserve my next stay again in the near future.
