Disappointing stay better alternatives in...

Liked: Location is great- right in the centre of gay district and short walk to underground station Nollendorfplatz
Disliked: The lift was broken for duration of my stay Thursday to Sunday. I found it unbelievable that an emergency engineer could not be sourced/called during this time. I was moved from basement to 4th floor as compensation, this was not a welcome upgrade. The room does not reflect the pictures used on website. Decor and walls in room were dated, stained and damaged. A shower curtain is used in bathroom which I have not seen in hotels in a very long time. Stairwells were dirty and in need of a revamp. Hotel failed to respond to my email in relation to issues.
