Hotel comfortable and in a good location, especially if visiting the Dome. Staff friendly, hotel clean and nice sea views.

Liked: Amazing stay! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I loved the room, which was so comfy and warm! I would recommend it. The staff was so accommodating to us staying in a different room to meet our check-in needs.
Disliked: Everything was perfect, cant complain.

Liked: Lovely old building, good gym facilities, great & friendly staff, always smiling and willing to help, big bright room
Disliked: Offered an upgrade to a seaview room- upgrade unfortunately turned out to be a downgrade as it as it was extremely noisy round the front of the building. This is not coming from a light sleeper, I'm used to all kinds of loud noises but this was on another level. Imagine being stuck in a wind tunnel with a megaphone blasting into your ears. Couldnt sleep a wink until 6.30 AM and barely got up on time for check out. Reception graciously allowed an extra half an hour to check out (not their fault, it's a old building) definitely stay in the back if you want to sleep at night. Personally I'll never stay here again after this experience. Pool too cold as well.

Cold breakfast cold swimming pool

Liked: The hotel was lovely and staff.Our room was nice but basic,the bed pillows need to be bigger ! ,our pillows were very small and square,not very comfortable because they were too small.
Disliked: We found the breakfast was poor and overpriced. We attended breakfast early to ensure it was fresh,however, I had to request fresh eggs because the ones there had gone hard and dry.The bacon was cold and dry -u could snap it! How long it had all been sat for I didn't know.I really think that the cooked breakfast should be made to order -all u can eat just like in the beefeater,I do feel customers will be much happier with this plus this would potentially cut back on food being wasted because it's all being made fresh.The continental breakfast was nice!.The swimming pool would have been great if the air conditioning from the gym wasn't so close to the pool,this made my morning swim FREEZING COLD.I actually cancelled my booking at the Grand because this hotel had a swimming pool and I wish I had stayed at The Grand now if I'm honest.
