Ideal for a family stop...

Liked: Great location, food and staff. Perfect for our family of six looking to break up a journey on the A1.
Disliked: Few bits of cosmetic detailing could be improved - there's potential here for quite a bougie boutique hotel but for the price this could not be improved. Plumbing quite noisy.

Disliked: Dirty room. So many cobwebs. Dusty. Heating on full and broken so unable to turn off. Was told there was no family room available so booked two rooms to then find one room had a double and a single bed in it. Didn’t need the second room but had to pay for it anyway. Powdered mash. Powdery gravy. Sat in a badly decorated room on our own to eat.

Lovely stay.

Liked: Very comfy bed, nice breakfast, great location, friendly staff. Nice and quiet. I liked the chalet style rooms. Plenty of parking space.
Disliked: The attached pub closed early, but other than that, everything was great.

Liked: Excellent pub grub and delightful and helpful young staff. We would definitely stay here again.
