Queen Anne Hotel, San Francisco

A gem

Liked: it's a step back in time. beautifully preserved hotel with modern amenities. we have enjoyed the breakfast, friendly staffs and excellent service to make our stay comfortable. the complimentary city car to send us to where we want to go in the city was a very nice surprise!
Disliked: nothing

Superb

Liked: We were pleasantly surprised It was very clean and surprisingly for being so old did not smell musty or stale at all. It was very cozy and comfotable, including the bed
Disliked: The only things that were slightly annoying was the need to be buzzed in. I understand it helps with safety, but there were a few times we had to wait about 5mins for someone to buzz the front door open. And there was no air conditioning in the room. The rooms stayed quite warm when we stayed in November, it has a fan that helps but I could see it being an issue in summertime

Great Decor

Liked: The hotel has so much character in decor that for sure caught our eyes right from the first minute we arrived. The location was a bit far from the town but it was safe and has no presence of homeless people. Breakfast was nice.
Disliked: The price is a bit high but manageable.

Cute but very outdated hotel

Liked: Location is excellent, and the staff definitely is welcoming.Free cookies and sherry every afternoon
Disliked: No A/C in the rooms, and my shower did not have any water pressure. The hotel fixed it, but it was still very poor. One morning the hotel did not have any hot water at all! The beds are also lumpy. I was traveling for business so was tough not to have a good shower or air conditioning.
