Pool & hot tub are...

Liked: Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Our door was difficult to get secured. The bathroom sink area was non-existent for a woman to get ready. The pool and hot tub will cause terrible illness. The hot tub was disgusting and under a safe temperature which caused green stuff to bloom when the jets were activated. I didn't notice before my children entered the hot tob since there was virtually no lighting as I attempted to get a sliding glass door closed because anyone could hope the fence and gain access to the property. I believed both were saltwater because there was zero smell of chlorine. I found out they are chlorine based. The lack of proper chlorination in warm pools and hot tubs will cause Legionella infection, Hot Tub Rash and UTIs, just to name a few. The fans in this greenhouse-type pool area were set opposite their intended purpose. Had the pool and hot tub been properly chlorinated, chlorine gas would have formed and lives would have been lost. My husband was able to get the front desk clerk (Zane was amazing) to assist getting the door fixed and the ventilation reversed.I then entered the hot tub in order to monitor the temperature so my children would not overheat. I realized it was not at a proper temperature to prevent bacteria growth. Once I realized Quality Inn was not properly maintaining these facilities, we got out, turned off the jets and saw the green mess began to bloom.We requested and received rubbing alcohol and extra shampoo and soap to clean the filth off and hopefully prevent any sickness. We have pictures and video of the filthy conditions. If my family gets ill due to the negligence of your property, we will respond in kind.A refund is absolutely due.I hope this does email does not fall on deaf ears. This issue is a public safety hazard.If this does fall on deaf ears, I will contact the proper authorities and/or government agencies to ensure the Quality Inn located in Maggie Valley NC is held accountable and clean up their facilties.
