The room was clean and...

Liked: The hotel was under construction and remodeling was on going. Our room was finished and in excellent condition. We were provided free coffee.
Disliked: Unfortunately my credit card, discover was charged twice and I am having to deal with this problem. The Lady at the front desk couldn't find my name or confirmation number. Could not help me with the double charge for one night stay. I had to contact Discover to let them know. I had to call back to speak with the manager, Neil. He said that he would take the extra charge off of my card, but I would have to wait 3to 5 days before it would go off. He sent me a receipt with an adjustment for the extra charge of $119.91. I will still have to wait to see if everything has been honestly corrected. and will have to contact Discover to let them know if this problem has been corrected.

Liked: They looked deserted. Under construction. I think it should have told us. No breakfast. Couldn’t wait to get outta there.

Fine for a night.

Liked: The building is old and run down. In my room, the ceiling had cracks and the bathroom...ufff. It felt like you were going to rip the handle out of the wall when you were turning on the shower because it was so loose and the same with the shower head trying to adjust it. The carpet was grungy and I walked barefoot for about 2 seconds before deciding "nope". But it was quiet, there were no bugs and the bed was comfortable.

Disliked: Many cleanliness issues: stained ceiling tiles, large wet spot on the floor by one of the beds, clothing items behind the nightstand, broken peephole, door was propped open with locking mechanism when we arrived, temperature was quite cold when we arrived.

Disliked: When we entered the room, we walked in the bathroom to find the bathtub had been removed and the shower floor was re-done and reminded me of something I encountered in Officer Candidate School in 1969. I took pictures of it and tried last night to attach them to this report but, due to my ineptitude with current computer procedures, neither my wife, nor I could make it happen. Since neither of us could stoop to taking a shower in that room (Room 219), we went to the desk to request another room and were told that none was available. We looked in the parking lot and saw just 5 cars but were told they were full that night. We also checked in the morning and perhaps we saw another 4 or 5. We surmised that they couldn't possibly have been full. In addition, the TV remote would not function and the attendant indicated that there was no one on duty that night to help us. Therefore, we spent the entire evening getting out of bed and manually changing the channel and adjusting the volume.
