The girl working on Friday night was great - friendly and motivated. The staff working other times were not as motivated - seemed to be more bothered by requests. It was very difficult to find the entrance to the parking lot (they need a sign). The door by the pool was broken but not locked so when I tried to enter from the outside it started to fall.

Liked: Breakfast was great; room was relatively clean.
Disliked: Outside door did not lock when closed; no cookies as their sign promised; heater made the smoke detector go off and smelled.

Disliked: Hotel is listed as "Pet Friendly" It is ONLY to service dogs. Ours is but I'm sure there are people looking for Pet Friendly hotels where their dog is not a service dog. Kind of misleading in a way.

Good stay. Fire alarms no.

Disliked: Fire alarms went off first night and it was annoying.

Disliked: There was no way to control the temperature in the room and it was so hot we had to open the windows and it was cold outside and yet the room didn’t cool down that much. The breakfast was horrible. Got there at 7:00 and the food was cold, hard and not edible.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff, value. modern electrical and charging outlets. Good choice for attending events at Iowa State. Costco nearby. Take Dayton Road to exit Ames and access US 30 and I-35 as you leave Ames in heavy traffic.
Disliked: I could not get wifi to work, And TV had good capability but took some time to figure it out,Bed a bit hard for my taste. Friendly staff, Iowa ppl are much nicer than Chicago. always pleasant to spend time in Iowa.
