Quality Hotel La Marebaudiere Vannes, Vannes

Cracking weekend,great Hotel and staff

Liked: Easy check in, staff friendly and courteous and very helpful in guiding us around where and what to visit ( Weekend not long enough with the history of this place) and eat in Vannes. The rooms are bright and airy, and the bed is really comfortable. Great position, just outside the town centre. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Tres Bon
Disliked: The toilets in the rooms are perched on a step,so a bit of getting used to after a few red wines. Apart from that nothing at all.

Excellent. Would definitely stay here...

Liked: Great location 10-15 min walk to centre of town. Plenty of parking. Very cool vibe. Good bar/restaurant right next door and excellent breakfast in the hotel.

Relaxed, nice hotel with friendly...

Liked: Very clean and well appointed hotel, close to Vannes town centre,. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds. Good breakfast everybody catered for ( Nice chocolates at reception). The staff were very helpful, and friendly. Complimentary sauna fantastic after a long day exploring Vannes.
Disliked: Nothing of note .

Great for Vannes

Liked: Location was perfect to walk in to Vannes. Free, spacious parking.
Disliked: TV had a line through the middle of the picture.Could not access the WiFi in the room. Reception added WiFi to one phone, with difficulty, but in the room unable to get WiFi on other devices.

Don't come here!

Liked: The staff was very friendly, and the lobby area was nice enough. That's sadly where the good things ended with our stay. Vannes is a lovely town and well worth a short visit, but not at this hotel! Parking and location is great, but I'd look elsewhere!
Disliked: The room we were given was just downright awful. We thought we'd be getting a nice hotel, with a nice and clean room in a decently modern state, which is what was advertised. Instead, the room was dirty and worn down, with a bathroom door that couldn't close properly, and hair and dust on the floor. The wallpaper was coming off in several places, and I could go on for a while... It also became apparent why there weren't any photos of the bathrooms... They arent very nice. That's why.. Door closes right onto a light switch, meaning it doesn't close at all, so good luck with privacy :-)The hallway was dirty and worn down, and there was a really off-putting smell there. Smeared blood in the elevator as well...Breakfast was by far the worst on our 22-day-long vacation (we stayed 17 other places)... Both in selection and in quality.To make matters worse, the firealarm went off at a really early hour of the morning, because the staff had burned eggs for breakfast... Mistakes can be made, but it certainly put an exclamation mark behind a poor stay. We'd have asked for a new room, if not for the fact that the hotel was fully booked and we were staying for only one night... But I'm not sure it would have helped the cleaning, since other parts of the hotel were worn down and poorly cleaned.. Except for the lobby. Guess that's where the money went. Shame
