Fun safe place
Liked: I loved the location its so close to the brach, also the rooms are so big and spacious with an amazing view.
Disliked: The beds were not the best I could feel the springs its time to replace them.

Disliked: I know we were in the middle of bad weather I did call to check if the stay was still fine to come down and i didn’t get told that pretty much nothing would be available but us staying in the room. That sky point and restaurant wouldn’t be open. I may have rebooked as it was for my husbands birthday and all we did was sit in the room.

We will return to Q1....
Liked: The property and staff were absolutely sensational. We were there for a week during the cyclone that hit the Gold Coast and everything was really wonderful (except for the weather). Staff couldn't have looked after us any better and we felt very safe in our apartment (on the 39th floor).
Disliked: only the weather. Everything in the area was closed because of cyclone - shops, transportation. Everything. We still enjoyed our holiday as our apartment was so very comfortable so we just "chilled" for the week.

Hmmmmm!
Disliked: I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Q1. Given its reputation as one of the most famous accommodations in the Gold Coast, I expected a true 5-star experience. However, the reality fell far short.Firstly, there was no standard room service, and any additional services or amenities came at an exorbitant cost—up to $278 per service. On top of that, guests are expected to clean their own rooms and take out their bins, with the threat of a $1,000 fine if it's not done to their satisfaction. This was quite unsettling, especially considering the premium price we paid, expecting a luxurious and hassle-free stay.One of the main reasons we chose Q1 was its gym, indoor pools, and steam room, but these were closed for two out of our four-day stay due to "weather conditions." This made no sense to us, as people were walking around freely, and these facilities do not require staff supervision to remain open.Additionally, we had specifically requested a beach-facing room, but our assigned room was on the side with a limited view. Despite higher floors being available, we were given no choice in the selection.The cleanliness was also unacceptable. The toilet bowl was filthy, the benchtops had visible fingerprints, the body wash container was empty, and there were no bin liners provided—despite their requirement for guests to manage their own waste.To add to the frustration, when we requested a two-hour late checkout, we were informed that no one was booked immediately after us, yet they could only offer one additional hour for some strange reason, which hardly made sense. And at the end, the lock broke on us we couldn't get into our room and luckily we could wait around for 1.5 hrs to get it open !!Q1 seems to charge based on its height and reputation, but it falls significantly short compared to other 5-star hotels in the area.
