Not going back!!

Liked: The whole site was tranquil. Perfect location too. The staff were quite friendly and you didn't need to wait long for a shuttle, or you could order one to be sent pretty easily to get around the site and to get to and from Manly.
Disliked: There wasn't much to do there other than sight seeing and there were limited facilities. The sofa lounge was the worst bed I have ever experienced. It was like sleeping on springs, and there wasn't any linen to make the bed up other than 3 thin blankets on a shelf. There was barely any water pressure for a shower and I had to turn the hot water on full for 5 minutes first for a warm shower and then hope no one in the same building had a shower. The cost of the food and drinks at the restaurant was ridiculous, and that was the only place on the 33 hectare site to eat. There was no bbq area either. For buildings that are 200 years old and in that type of condition, the price for a nights stay should have been at least a third of what we paid, which was $340 for one night in a one bed, one lounge, and bathroom suite. Extremely over priced!!!

A nice place to stay...

Liked: A comfortable room, great location, clean and spacious bathroom. We purchased the breakfast option and the food was freshly prepared, with a fair selection of choices in hot and cold.
Disliked: Being an old building, the walls between rooms allow some sound, but we didn't hear conversations or encounter any noisy neighbours.

Enjoyed it so much we...

Liked: Breakfast was good - could possibly mix up the menu a little from day to day.Location was excellent. Shuttle bus to Manly was handy, We enjoyed the history, the tour was very good. Spectacular view of the city.
Disliked: The room was a little stuffy - needed some AC or ventilation.TV service was poor. Cable TV would be nice. Rooms could use some additional decoration or wall hangings.

Stunning view, lovely stuff and...

Liked: We booked the rooms with the sea view and we've got the best rooms. The view of our rooms are stunning! Bed is comfortable.
Disliked: The room is quite hot while outside is cooler. Room has no air-condition, the fan is noisy. We have to leave the door open to get some fresh air in.

Exceptional

Liked: Brilliant place to stay. Really cool historical site with lots of nature to look out for! Shuttle service was a great bonus!

Basic and clean but needs...

Liked: Good location, Uber drivers were really happy to drop off and collect for a nearby function; staff were friendly and helpful; peaceful location
Disliked: Only one powerpoint in the room, and it was nowhere near a mirror; as for the bathroom, be prepared to put your toiletries/ clean clothes/ robe on the floor or on the top of the toilet lid as there is literally nowhere else, not even a hook on the back of the door - there isn't even a place to rest your toothbrush and toothpaste; no air conditioning is okay as there is a fan provided, but there are no windows to open for fresh air either so it got really stuffy in the room.
