Extremely disappointing.

Disliked: very bright sensor light flicks on and off every time one moves from door between bathroom and wardrobe. unacceptable. advertised "room service" on their homepage but told it means we "service the rooms." Now removed from site, as are references to good food throughout the day, which they said actually referred to business function food. This is unacceptable obfuscation. Tried to charge me 25 pounds per hour early arrival checkin when they clearly had available cleaned rooms. Reception visually never at their desk so I had a chance to absorb other service disasters unfold before my eyes e.g.,businessman asked for a reduction on checkout as during his stay he had a blocked toilet and non working TV. The response was a no. Says it all. I only stayed because of the area and the awesome cafe nearby but I cut short my stay from 6 to2 nights, and was accordingly reimbursed through staff wanted me to call Booking.com but in the end they did. Clearly the owners will not spend money and this is reflected in the fact that the hardworking and amiable Housekeepers stand in for Reception and vice versa which may work for small hotels but this is supposed to be a sizeable Best Western "Signature Collection"concern. God help us. Locals said that the place has a bad reputation.
