Beautiful location

Liked: Location is great. Beautiful spot to walk along the beach or watch the sun set and very close to the Punakaiki walkway. Rooms are nice and spacious.
Disliked: There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Was hot so opened the door but there are a lot of sandflies and mosquitoes so got bitten.

Nice Accommodations w/ a Caveat

Liked: Very nice location to the ocean. the Front desk attendants were terrific in helping us move to another room. Restaurant staff (Zoe and Bonn) were exceptional with their service. The food was excellent.
Disliked: When we had the large sliding window open, the road noise disrupted our comfort level. We moved from our initial room (310) to room 508 and that was a much better. I suggest booking a room in the 500-level if you prefer less road noise.

Enjoyed our stay

Liked: The room we were offered didn’t suit as there was no view so after paying more for an upgrade the view was stunning. Overlooking the bach
Disliked: Room was stuffy and hot when we got in there and with one fan made no difference even with a second fan. After sunset it finally became more comfortable otherwise no problem

Lovely hotel in a country...

Liked: Room was spacious and the view was tremendous.Easy access to Pancake Rocks which was our motivation for staying here
Disliked: My husband could not take his beer to the room.We wanted to do some trip planning and he bought a beer at the bar only to be told he could not take it to the room.
