Liked: Great location - train station, MCG etc. Breakfast buffet was delicious!
Disliked: Rooms were BOILING unless you had the air conditioner on all night. But it’s only a minor issue.

Great Stay with a Few...

Liked: Easy walk to Rod Laver Arena. Excellent park and stadium view from my room. Very friendly front desk staff including the concierge. Mattress and pillows were super comfortable, so were all the furniture - great choices! Even the tap was impressive - smooth and easy to control. Room seemed to have been recently renovated and spotlessly clean.
Disliked: The air-con was quite noisy while running - the stronger the setting, the louder it got - so I had to turn it off completely. There was a locked connecting door between my room and the one next door, I could hear my neighbour cough and talk. My requested one large bed was actually two single beds pushed together, and the gap in the middle was too noticeable, so I ended up sleeping on one side. Slippers and comb were not provided initially. There was no complimentary water, which I had expected from a five-star hotel.

It was ok for what...

Liked: The check in was great as was the concierge. The room was good but we weren't in it long as we were at a wedding. Parking was easy and reasonably priced.
Disliked: The bar/lounge area was disappointing. It's a "help yourself", "go to the bar and order", "get a docket and pick up your food" place now. The tables were dirty. There were staff who could have helped but didn't and we had to ask them to help. Disappointing. Also, the toiletries nailed to the bathroom wall didn't work.
