Liked: We had two adjoining rooms, they included classic decor, antique furniture and the stay was a great value. We realized in the middle of the night that one of the heaters was not working, but with adjoining rooms we made due opening the doors. Staff at the Inn advised they would address the matter. I'm sure if we brought the issue to them in the night, they would have moved us. We will absolutely stay again, it was such a cool place! We did not get a chance to check out the bakery or restaurant, but did have a drink at the bar. The entire facility was to our liking. We can not wait to go back and stay longer.

Liked: The property is historical and still updated thoughtfully, with amenities and the bake shop and dining rooms. It is obviously a multi purpose facility and used and appreciated as such.We had dinner in the Public House dining room, which was a good place. The food was lackluster and our waitress quite off puttingly brusque, but we enjoyed being in that convivial atmosphere, created by other diners.

Liked: I liked the free coffee and muffins each morning from the hotel's Bake Shoppe; they were delicious.
Disliked: There are apparently two lodging places at this hotel; the main house (and next door newer hotel building) and the 1970's vintage motor lodge buildings in the back. I didn't know we were being assigned to the old, dirty and urine-smelling room in the motor lodge. We went back to the front desk to change rooms but were told it would be $250 more which very high on top of the $250 we were paying for a 2 night stay. So, we stayed in a very old and decrepit room. I partially blame Booking.com for not stating which room/building I was going to stay in. I would have never booked this reservation if I knew we were staying in the motor lodge. We had a wedding to go to and didn't have time to find another hotel.

Liked: The staff was very helpful. Comfortable beds. The morning pastries were delicious.
Disliked: Having a refrigerator would have been convenient as well as a microwave that was easily accessible. There were a lot of ants that we noticed as well.
