Pleasant

Liked: Location is beautiful unfortunately the pool is open to the public and extremely crowded with loud electronic music while you're soaking in the idyllic beach/Uptown scenery
Disliked: Understaffed, no elevator, had to drag our suitcases up pretty steep stairs.

Desperately needing upkeep

Liked: Location is the best thing about this place. On the positive side, many staff members were very nice and seemed like good people. The fridge in the room is a nice size, wifi was working well for us, and the ample parking was appreciated. As a history enthusiast, I really like the murals and the old P-Town charm that the place could have, if upkeep was brought up to a minimum...
Disliked: Given what I had seen on the website, we were expecting an older historical place, obviously not a brand new place, but also not a place with so many irritants. I have just read a lot of recent reviews and I realize that our experience is unfortunately one that has been shared by other guests in the past few weeks. Our room (#33) had a weird smell that lasted throughout our stay. The AC was very loud and we had a hard time opening the windows to get fresh air in. Our lock was also very damaged and looked like someone had tried to come in by forcing it. The coffee maker did not work well and neither did the television set. The window to our room was also very dirty with large imprints of someone’s hands from a oily substance. We had hoped to use the pool but both days where we got there, it was so full of non-hotel folks that we could not find a spot to relax and unwind. Having been charged ‘resort fees’ when the pool is so full of people not even staying there seems out of place. The bathroom was were most problems came up. Baseboards were missing for a large portion of the room, the floor was dirty and there was also a lot of crass and mould on the door and walls. The shower was quite awful and the black thing that holds the body wash/shampoo/conditionner was not tied to the wall and fell on my foot. One of the bottle was also already empty when we got there and despite us leaving it to be filled, it never was during our stay. I ended up buying body wash at the CVS - not something I expect in a hotel in this price range. It is worth noting that I tried twice to contact the hotel manager about this review before posting, but never even got a response...

Beautiful location, but short on...

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful location. Good mattress.
Disliked: Bathroom was uncomfortable and awkward. Especially shower. Few places to store toiletries. Only one towel rack .no safety bars in shower. Could not open the door to the deck, it was so tight. Few places to store anything in the bedroom . not a good value for the money. surprised that breakfast was not included as it used to be thought. No microwave. Thought The whole place was renovated, but it does not seem so.
