Great location, comfortable room but...

Liked: Stayed two nights at Prince of Wales Hotel with a friend in a split king bed. The room was very cosy (small), but the beds were super comfortable. The block out curtains were a welcome addition for two super tired mums in need of a rest having a few nights away. One factor that made that difficult was the band playing downstairs in the pub until 10:30/11pm on the Friday night. It was like we were downstairs in the band room, it was really loud and whilst they were a pretty good band, it was really hard to block it out to try and sleep. The bathroom was tiny but the shower was excellent and the Loccitane toiletries were a welcome surprise. One suggestion is to have a shelf of some sort in the shower for people bringing their own toiletries rather than having to stash them on the floor, likewise the basin took up the entirety of the vanity so a wall shelf would be helpful. The air con/heating worked well and was simple to operate. The staff were super friendly. Had dinner downstairs in the pub on our first night and they were great pub meals. Well priced and a good wine list. There’s fantastic options for dining nearby, with Jackman and McRoss being a fave for breakfast and coffee. Love the free on site parking! Thanks, would stay again, just maybe not on a Friday night with the band raging downstairs

Great hotel, some rooms need...

Liked: Nice rooms recently renovated
Disliked: The room was right above the pub area and the noise from the band playing in the pub could be heard in the room. I asked to change rooms, but the staff forgot to set it up in the system, so next day someone else was checked into my room by mistake.

A great location with brand...

Liked: The apartment was brand new and had everything we needed for a family of 4. The beds were very comfortable with crisp linens and great selection of pillows. Location was walking distance to Salamanca and had options for great coffee and snacks nearby. A great balcony with outdoor seating was a lovely bonus.
Disliked: This is a pub hotel and so there is some noise from the pub downstairs. We experienced a few people milling around the car park around 10pm on the Thursday night, then a band until approx 1030 on the Friday night. It didn't worry us as we were awake (and the band was great), but if you go to bed early it may impact your peace.

Liked: Cleaning needs to be improved. Coffee station was full of dust, went to use a glass, all dusty. Dust inside bedside tables. Bathroom wasn’t vacuumed, hair behind door on floor. Hard carrying luggage up & down stairs with no lift.
