Liked: Location is spot on. On the main strip near shops and short drive to Koombana Bay. Lovely Bistro which we dined in for dinner. Nice menu with plenty of choice and not overly expensive. We had no booking but at short notice we were able to reserve a table for 8. The wait staff were exceptional. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel itself is a pub with a lovely Bistro, and looks very impressive from the Street view.Room has a TV, fridge and AC which worked well, plus coffee/tea in the room
Disliked: Access to the rooms is via the rear of the venue, outside from the car park, up a set of metal stairs that I think you would struggle with if you had any mobility problems. Also, we found a lot of smokers were hanging around near the staircase from the beer garden. The rooms are extremely basic and very dated. No view as such from the rooms, and the noise from the live band..... We didn't sleep until very late. The bathroom, whilst small and basic was very clean but there was a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom which appeared to come from the drain in the sink. As we were only in town for 1 night we didn't complain.I wouldn't stay in the accommodation again, but I would recommend it as a venue for dining or drinks
