Service was good; room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was substantial. Stayed one night and it was excellent value for money.

Liked: Location was amazing, very easily accessible.. Room decent sized with space to sit and relax (we had a 1 bedroom room) for 4 people.
Disliked: Small things, we didn't have enough towels for the people booked in the room, we didn't have a kettle to make coffee, all things that the staff rectified but we shouldn't need to ask. The place is noisy. The aircon unit is loud and you can hear the lift working at night when it's quiet. If you're a light sleeper it may bother you.

Disliked: Room was very dated as was bathroom, toilet was seat broken. Window blinds in room did not shut completelyNo daily servicing so we had same towels for entire stay(one each ) despite asking for more. Two tea bags in total so we had to go buy more. But all of this we could live with compared to the biggest problem - the bedsWas meant to be a king bed but had two small single beds (my wife almost fell out of hers more than once) which were in terrible condition, you could feel the springs through the top so felt like you were sleeping directly on the springs. I travel a lot for work and have often had horrible beds where I would not go back to that accommodation for that reason.but these beds were by far the worst I have had to sleep on.We were on the 3rd floor and went for a scout of the other floors on our last night. Of the 14 floors in the hotels it looks like ours is one of the few floors not renovated which was a shame Looking at how much we paid per night compared to what the same room is going for when no events are on it is very dissatisfying. Especially as we booked almost a year ago

Very Disappointing

Liked: The location was fine and the breakfast was okay.
Disliked: We walked into our room and there was a horrible lingering odour, we opened our 2 windows to try and air it out but by the morning it became unbearable making us feel sick. The room was also very dated with dirty stained carpet and black mould on the curtains. There were also no face clothes which apparently they stopped due to covid and no soap in the bathroom. We complained to reception in the morning about the smell and that the room was uninhabitable, and the lady didn't seem surprised. She took our details, advised the hotel was fully booked but would try and get back to us with a solution. I then questioned housekeeping who were on our floor to see what they could do about the stench, and they advised nothing as our room had a bad damp issue! In receiving this information, I went back to reception very disappointed and upset at what they thought was acceptable (at $400 p/n) and after initially being fobbed off they agreed to change us into another room. This was all very disappointing as it was our children's first time to Auckland and this did not make it a very pleasant experience.
