Located in the west end of the gateway town of Callander the charming Poppies Hotel is just 4 minutes' walk from the city center and in close proximity to numerous historical attractions and rambling routes. This small rustic family-run hotel is located in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. There are 9 en-suite and individually designed bedrooms which combine traditional and modern comforts. Some rooms have the facility to accommodate families. Each room includes a TV tea and coffee making facilities a hairdryer and free toiletries. Camerons Bar the Poppies Hotel's hand crafted oak gantry has been awarded a place among the top 100 whiskey bars in Scotland. It offers a fine selection of malt whiskey. The Trossach area is a haven for walking cycling and touring. Within the nearby main cities there are numerous historic places of interest. Stirling is just 20 minutes' drive from Poppies Hotel and both Glasgow and Edinburgh are within a 65-minute drive.

Cosy and inviting accommodation with...

Liked: We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, warm, clean and very well appointed with high quality soft furnishings. The breakfast was delicious with super service and quality food. Location was just right being only a short walk from a choice of pubs and restaurants in Callander with ample parking.
Disliked: The owners are continuously updating the property and there are always things you would like as a guest. For us, a shelf in the lovely walk in shower would have been useful. Mixer taps would save water. Door furniture could do with updating, but these are just observations not dislikes.

Liked: Absolutely delicious full breakfast and within walking distance of Callander itself. Host was really nice.
