Comfortable, surprisingly quiet, needs a...

Liked: The location was handy and easy to find. Being so close to a main road in Auckland was surprisingly quiet, which was good. Easy to find food places in walking distance.
Disliked: Place is nice, but tired. Could use an up grade /revamp . Also appreciated that when I let the staff know about things they fixed issues.

Liked: It looks a lot better in the pictures, it was just a cabin. The tv had no netflix and no chrome cast, the internet didn't work either

Great location, but not relaxing...

Liked: The pool and location was good, unfortunately the first 2 days we stayed there was tradies working on the deck around the pool, using power tools all day, as most people when on holiday we where trying to relax and it’s pretty hard to do that when you can here power tools from your room, also the pool was a main reason we stayed but didn’t get to use that as much as we’d like as the tradies working right next to the pool. Also on the weekend there was a huge party at the pub and the music was so incredibly unnecessarily load, even when inside our room it was thumping through the walls, I did alert staff but they said the pub side is nothing to do with them, so they where unable to help which was a bit disappointing, on the plus it’s a great central spot not far from the city and close to the beaches, unfortunately due to the lack off care about the noise I doubt I’d stay again

Liked: everything except the shower. The other dissappointment is that I do not wash dishes you eat from in the bathroom. I would have like to have known this
Disliked: If I decide to rent a room from this hotel I would prefer seperate kitchen facilities and shower that is easy to turn on

Disappointed

Liked: Noisy. Poor fitting of aircon meant that condensation dripped into the show tray greatly disturbing our sleep. No windows to open in the bedroom. Lots of road noise.

Liked: Friendly staff member at reception dealt with my complaint that there was no towel in the bathroom, and had one waiting for me when I returned from an errand offsite.Next morning, the receptionist on duty took on board my comment that the shower faucet was dripping, and undertook to get it seen to (my worry was wasted water, with water rates about to rise.)As an elderly and somewhat physically compromised patron, I was not able to get into the bath to utilise the shower, but understand that that is my problem. I did manage a strip wash satisfactorily.
