Room was clean; hotel floor secure; price reasonable. Close to everywhere we were visiting, all in walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked: I'm a huge fan of Pod Times Square. Sadly the last stay was unacceptable. When I checked in late at night, I was greeted by a note in the room indicating that during day time, construction work would be undertaken on the facade and I therefore may want to keep the window shades closed for privacy. Otherwise I was assured no "undue disturbance". I worked till 3am and then went to bed until around 10am I was awaken by a deafening, incessant drilling noise that went on the whole day until past 3pm. The room was utterly unusable - no sleeping, no calls, I got a headache just from taking a shower. Reception was friendly and apologetic but claimed that this was totally beyond their control. They obviously should not have rented out this room during the construction period but given that I had prepaid, I demanded a 25% reduction in price in accordance with legal precedent. The receptionist actually did type up a message to booking.com while I was watching and said I need to contact them for a partial refund but booking.com said they need to contact the property and the day after said that unfortunately they didn't get a reply and therefore couldn't help me. Giving a repeat customer an unusable room and then hiding behind customer service ping pong is totally unacceptable and I therefore sadly cannot recommend this property any more.
