Frustrating! Booking.com is completely incompetent...
Liked: The location was great. Booking.com messed up the room type so we paid top dollar to be on the beach but had to stay in the tower for 2 nights. Booking.com is incompetent and then they do nothing for you when they mess up.
Disliked: The stag at the Plunge was great and gave us the proper room in the beach. The Plunge defended me the difference for coat for the first two nights. Booking .com then applied a discount to the refund giving me less and keeping the difference. Booking.com is a scam.

Nice stay, not worth the...
Liked: The location was very nice. Right outside of Fort Lauderdale; safe and quiet. But, also was walkable to a lively restaurant/bar/shopping area. Walking distance to Publix. The entire resort was perfectly clean! The restaurant offered breakfast that was affordable and delicious. And the coffee bar, same! Affordable and tasty! Having access to beach chairs & available every day was a HUGE plus!! The greatest help staff were always there and ready to get you set up. And the beach service (full drink & food menu) was great! Staff was friendly.
Disliked: I felt like the price was outrageous for what we got. I was expecting much more for the price I paid. The room was BASIC. I paid extra for a bungalow room and would've much rather stayed in a regular room and paid less. I asked for a second floor room, so we had some type of a balcony, was told that would be accommodated and it was not. I paid for ocean view, and received pool view. The bungalows are 21+ so there wasn't too much noise being right next to the pool; but not what I was expecting. For the price, the only thing included was water bottles. The place was nice, but extremely pricy for what you get. The whole resort needs a facelift.

Nice location with some benefits...
Liked: Very comfortable bed.Location is great… footsteps from the beach, and approx 10 mins walk to a really buzzy part of town with restaurants and bars.Their pool area is clean and compact, with sun loungers. The bar service was good, and the food we had was really nice (fries and tenders are 10 out of 10!).Great ice machine/freezer available on the floor.
Disliked: The check-in experience really should set the scene for your stay, so in our case this wasn’t good. The person who called us to the desk said hello, then immediately walked off to do something else. Her colleague stepped in to take over, but during the process stopped to answer the phone for a couple of minutes; he then took another message via his walkie-talkie. This isn’t how you should behave and interact with guests who are just arriving. Additionally, he didn’t bother to mention that we could get a discount on the parking (more on that below) by signing up to some club of theirs. I overheard this being told to the couple checking in next to us. Why is the experience so inconsistent between guests?Parking is extortionate at $25 a night. The property has its own giant car park, so being charged so much to park as a paying guest seems like an easy way to extract more money from your customers. There is only one lift (elevator) at the reception, so it can sometimes take a while to get to where you need to go.The gym is… well, I wouldn’t really call it a gym. It’s a small carpeted room with two old treadmills (the belt slips on them, so it feels uneasy/unsafe to be running on it; I gave up half way through) and some weights. If more than two people are in there at any one time you can’t move and feel on top of each other. I had to go outside onto the balcony just to try and get some space to do my exercises. The plus is that there’s water bottles and towels available. My recommendation to the hotel is to think about upgrading the equipment …some modern treadmills and some proper flooring would make a HUGE difference. In the room, the shower pressure was terrible. For some reason the layout means the shower sprays water all over the floor because there’s only an old shower curtain. Also, the air conditioning unit is extremely loud so you’ll probably need ear plugs to get some quality sleep.

Was not what I expected.
Liked: Location & Nice Staff.
Disliked: Musty smell. Dirty lounge furniture. Dining area used children's chairs for seating. Website pictures did not match reality. Decor looked like it came from a children's art contest.
