Newly built in 2016 Placid Hotel Zurich offers double rooms and suites on the 5 top floors of a 12-floor business tower in Zürich Albisrieden-Altstetten. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property. All rooms come in a timeless design with precious materials and feature a flat-screen TV a digital concierge service with an iPad a seating area and a coffee machine with complimentary coffee capsules. They have floor-to-ceiling windows which can be opened. The bathroom is separated from the room by a glass wall integrating it to the wholeness of the room and features a shower a hairdryer and free toiletries. The rooms offer panoramic views of Zurich city and the Alps. The restaurant Buckhuser is a combination of a lounge a bar and a bistro and serves newly interpreted classics of Swiss cuisine as well as international specialties made from fresh seasonal and regional products. The area is popular for cycling and the property offers free use of iconic design bikes. Child care can be arranged at a surcharge and on request. Very good

Liked: Lovely location right next to some public transport stops. The view out of our room was nice.
Disliked: The air conditioning didn't seem to work because our room was too hot overnight.

Stunning room and lovely decor

Liked: The bed was super comfortable and mountains in background lovely too
Disliked: Quite a few cranes in way of Mountain View (no fault of the hotel). Concrete floor

Great Hotel for a Great...

Liked: The room was incredibly spacious and wheelchair accessible. Its panoramic-sized windows provided great views. The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to leave and start the day.
Disliked: Although excellent, the hotel is about 20 minutes from downtown Zurich.

Wonderful, comfortable and definitely keeping...

Liked: Beautiful aesthetic and furnishings.
Disliked: Might’ve been just a me thing but the coffee machine wasn’t the most intuitive and ended up wasting a couple of coffee sachets trying to figure it out.
