A great stay

Liked: Good location, a 20 minute walk from downtown. Bus stop close by you want it. Spacious and comfortable apartment-staff very friendly and helpful. Couple of bars within walking distance-bar just across the tracks(Never, Never Bar) may look shabby outside but warm welcome inside-great staff and friendly atmosphere. Also try out Humphreys good coffee and breakfast options.

Up and coming neighborhood, good...

Liked: It was modern and had everything I needed, full size fridge, washer & dryer, WiFi. Staff were very friendly.
Disliked: I knew the train tracks were close so was not alarmed about the train noise a couple of times a day. BUT the thumping sound from the first floor restaurant when they had a DJ was unbearable. (they had a day of the dead party until midnight one of the nights I was there, and another party until 11pm on a 2nd night). I complained about the noise and the staff tried to help but the restaurant is not part of the hotel so they were limited on what they could do. my room was on 2nd floor and if I stay again I will check for events at the restaurant. Parking in the unused car lift was cumbersome as you had to back in and had to be very precise-I hit my mirror and scuffed my tires in first try - but there was surface parking (if you could snag a space).
