Overall out stay was just...
Liked: Breakfast should exist of at least 1 warm item I.e boiled eggs or hot sausages. But overall the breakfast items were very good and plentiful
Disliked: Despite the weather being extremely cold the heating in the bedrooms did not turn on till 8.30 pm which is not acceptable. And no additions blankets which most hotels do supply.

Three friends went to Canterbury...
Liked: The hotel was perfect for our needs. Right in the centre of Canterbury opposite ghe Marlow theatre. The room had emoughbbeds so all three of us could be together. The breakfast was lovely. So much choice.
Disliked: The beds were very squeaky. Everytime you moved they creaked. But that said they were comfortable.It would have been nice to have seen someone on reception when we left so we could say thank you. There was nowhere to put the key and as far as we could see no way to call anyone.

Very warm welcome on arrival,...
Liked: Spotlessly clean. Really friendly staff who went out of their way to make your stay special.
Disliked: I do like an English breakfast - which wasn’t offered BUT the range of continental breakfast was vast - hot toast, loads of cereals, yoghurt, nuts, seeds and fresh fruit, tasty coffee, teas and fruit juices, croissants, salami and cold meats as well as a selection of cheeses!

Highly recommend
Liked: Gorgeous, clean property. Beautifully comfortable bed. Middle of the high street. Stunning old building feet from the river.
Disliked: Old building with creaky floors - when people returned to their room for the evening you could hear the stairs. But it was no problem, expected with an old building.

Very good
Liked: This hotel is directly opposite the Marlowe Theatre and just off of the main high street. The Cathedral is only 5 minutes away and so is Canterbury West railway station. An ideal location for everything.

Liked: Lovely property very clean, staff was very helpful was a young boys first day and he was very helpful even when learning on the spot something he hadn’t done before so well in all very pleasant stay

Nice and comfortable but staff...
Liked: The hotel is well located and very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was nice.
Disliked: When we arrived, we were not asked about our car parking details. We later found out that we could not give our car information later when we asked at the desk approx 60 mins after check in. We were told it was too late to register as parked and we needed to pay the full parking price rather than the hotel’s discounted rate.I believe you should ask guests when they check in if they have a car to give you the number plate of. Relying on them reading the guest info booklet in the bedroom and coming back to tell you in the first 30 minutes (as you subsequently told me was required) isn’t very helpful as people may be in a rush to drop their bags and go out and not have time to read the book immediately. The booking.com hotel information says you will ask guests about parking on check-in. Nothing can be done about our parking now as I understand it but it was irritating and you should keep this in mind for future guests.
