No frills, but still comfy...

Liked: It's a quirky place, a mix of old and new fixtures and fittings, which I really liked. Modern downstairs and older upstairs. Great location. Easy walking distance from the train station and all amenities, such as restaurants, river, parks, museums etc. The staff were friendly, and helpful but not always easy to find. Perhaps they were short staffed when we were there. The room was a good size. We had a family room, where I had the double bed and my friend and her daughter had the adjoining room with two single beds. I had to walk through it to use the bathroom, and the door hinges could've done with a little oil. My bed was comfy, as were theirs, and although the room felt a little chilly with I think single glazing, the duvets were warm enough, without needing an extra blanket. It was quiet. We weren't disturbed by other guests. The food at breakfast was good and enough but not very exciting. There were some games downstairs in a lounge area, which was nice to sit in with kids.
Disliked: The shower was not very strong. The breakfast had plenty to eat but not very exciting, and I had to get the staff from round the corner in the bar to get me a decaf coffee in the mornings as there was none available in the breakfast room. The toaster was really loud, and took ages to warm up, so we gave up! Couldn't always find the staff, for example, to find someone to serve at the bar in the evening, and no one at desk to checkout, as well as no bell or phone to attract attention at reception, nor a quick dropbox for the keys, which was odd.

Very satisfied.

Liked: It was a very nice property, outside and in. Nice decor, good facilities, comfortable and clean. My only complaint was that my window didn't open and there was no plug socket next to the bed. Otherwise it was fantastic, and the location is perfect. Right in the centre of everything! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Ok but less value worthy...

Liked: Good for a short tume stay. There is a pub at downstairs and offers 10% for residents. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. And he was helping us with the luggages to keep it after the checkout.
Disliked: The breakfast was delayed. It was told that it is at 7.30. But even until 8.30, no one was there and the breakfast room and the reception/ lobby area was locked (it was a strange feeling, as you feel, you are locked inside). Breakfast was ok with nice and soft croissants. But no eggs, sausages or ham. So basically bread and cereals and tea/coffee. The tub water retainer was not working so couldnt fill it. Other than it, everything was ok. But in overall, feel its expensive and not money worthy
